Everyone's support and concern has helped our family get thru this week and we know in the weeks to come we can turn to any of you. Know that the girls, their families, and I are getting along as best as can be expected and dealing with this great void in our lives. Our faith is the substaining factor. GOD has 'prepared the table' for us, as we all believe. But HE has also prepared me and my family for John's passing by placing us where we are in the church and with so many loving friends and family.

On a happy note, I wanted to give a little joy back into my grandsons young hearts. So I got them a great backyard toy that their Grandad John would have loved, in his memory. John loved to fly, whether in hot air balloons or airplanes. He has been fascinated since a young boy. His daddy was granted the Distinguised Flying Cross in WWII and flew a PBY over the seas.
The toy is a teeter-totter shaped like a huge airplane. They had so much fun finally today and it did my heart good to hear their laughter. I know John is smiling down on them too. Isn't it amazing that the simplest thing can cross your path just at the time you need it to lift you up? Maybe I shouldn't be amazed. GOD and our Guardian Angel is always with us!
We are going to keep this website blog going as we do not want to lose any of the love that has been expressed in all of your comments. We are just going to 'reinvent' it as our FAMILY BLOG.
I won't be sending any updates to my entire address book after this last one, but feel free to come back as often as you wish to see how we are doing if that is your desire. We welcome you as you are all 'our family'.
One last request............ I heard so many wonderful stories about how John touched some of you in some special way. I want to save these special loving memories in a book for my girls and grandchildren. I have attached a Memory Page (below this blog) that we are ask you to 'right click-save & print on your computer.

Dear Nila "Mom",
I have always admired John's work ethic, love for his family, and devotion to the church.
John helped me put in flooring in our house and also hang up storm doors. He would make the drive down to Norman after work to help me do whatever I needed for home improvement.
He has been an inspiration for me in my life. John will always have a place my heart.
Love,
Aaron Micah
