Dear Family and Friends,
This week has been extremely overwhelming. John was released from the hospital last Friday (7/25) as Heather posted for all of you. I found thru the weekend that it was going to be too much for me to handle by myself so I contacted a Home Health agency. As I found out, things are too far for their services to help. And they are used for mainly "rehabilitative" reasons. As John's diease has progressed too far for that I had to sign up for hospice care. Never thought it would be this soon, but no one knows what the next day will bring. The Frontier Hospice people seem to be really caring and quick. They sent out a hospital bed and other medical supplies the same evening. John is extremely weak and sometimes (because of the pain meds) falls asleep while he is talking with you. We are trying to keep him out of as much pain as possible and still let him have "awake" time to be with family and friends. It's a juggling act to find the right balance. All of our priests visit daily to offer comfort and counseling and are a great calm of comfort that we need most. We have had several of you as visitors and that is so much appreciated to know you love us so much. Our daughters and their families are a constant comfort to us as well. As you know, they are all "Daddies Girls" and John is their hero. Our grandsons know what is happening as best they can comprehend at their young ages. Please pray for our girls & their families strength in dealing with this as well as us. We THANK GOD that we found the "True Faith once delivered by the Apostles" for that is our strength and hope. With Love and Constant Prayer, Nila

Hello John and Nila -
know you are extremely happy with the good news of having a "bundle of pink" before too long! Congratulations!
I was out of town last Sunday, but hope to see you both in Church this Sunday! We all keep you in our prayers - - and surely, the Dear Lord hears them all!
Everyone loves and misses you both.
Take care - lots of love - Norma J.
John and Nila, you are very much at the front of my thoughts and prayers. I pray for your strength and ease of pain, for your lifting of spirits and peace of mind. My heart goes out to all in your family and holds them close in a warm embrace.
Also; many, many congratulations on being the soon to be proud grandparents of a beautiful baby girl. Love the creativity in the "unwrapping" of the news!!
Much love to you both <3 <3

Congratulations ! !
I had wondered if all your girls were going to gift the two of you with boys (for balance ~ smiling here).
This will be a blessing to all your family when your new Grand Daughter arrives.
I am sure the boys (her cousins) will her adore as well.

Your family is living proof that there is much more than this life. You all "walk the walk" with true beauty and grace.
I am humbled and honored to be able to count you as my friends.
Love, Joanna
Dear Nila & John,
Goodness, you both are so strong and I would not be handling all this so well, I assure you. I think of you both everyday and count me among the friends you have praying for your comfort and strength to get through each day. I didn't know Jenny was pregnant, that is so wonderful! That will be one beautiful little girl. Hope this weekend is calm for you both, take care!!! With love & hope, Carol K.
