Well, today actually went wonderfully!!! He wasn't sick at all and pretty painless. Of course, they gave him major nausea meds before the IVchemo and a small dose of steroids. He felt well enough to visit with my brother from Pennsylvania and his family who came down this week to see him. He was able to eat well tonite. They say the side effects won't hit for 48-72 hrs though.
So maybe this is the calm before the storm. I sure hope not. We'll deal with what ever comes though.
When you see John, don't be afraid to talk with him about it, just hug him and even tease him about maybe losing his hair. Like THAT's gonna be a hardship! He'll laugh with you. Upbeat is best for him and everyone. God will decide what will ultimately happen. Not the doctors or the disease. If HE decides for a miracle, it will happen. If not, HE always has a good reason, just not what "WE WANT". That's why HE's God and we are called children.

Hi Squeaky and Nila!
Boy I'm sorry y'all are going through this. Just fight hard and don't give up 5 minutes before the miracle. I only kind of know what you are going through because they are treating my liver cancer a little differently and I haven't had to do the rounds of chemo, but I will tell you that is is worth the fight and these tumors DO go into remission. We will pray that is God's will!! I love you both and I promise that I will call soon.
Love you both!
