The 48-72hr countdown hasn't really been too bad for John. He did have some nausea today for a short time but then was okay. He felt wonderful most of the weekend. I think the steroids had something to do with that. We had to keep telling him to slow down some. Arnold Swartzeneger he's not. ha ha
He actually took a couple naps which helps with the fatigue. He has promised Fr. Mark and the St. Andrew's parish that he would build their altar for them and he is determined to do so with the help of his brother, Mark. All to the glory of God and it is going to be beautiful. (He helped to make the altar at the church before we became orthodox). As you all know, John is a worker-bee and this is the way he chooses to live each precious moment. If he's not feeling bad, he spends time with family, at church, or making sawdust. That's his heaven on earth. John & I have had a beautiful life watching our girls grow up & add to our family.
A wonderful lady from church sent us the following short video link that John & I watched together. This friend & I think this man has a lot in common with John.

Hi Mom and Dad,
I've seen this lecture before and it didn't hit home until today. I love you both very much and will take all the lessons you've taught me over the years and put them to good use with our boys. It's been and is an incredible journey.
Love,
Heather
Dear Nila and John
Good news about John tolerating his teratment so well. Way to go, John!
How very fortunate is St. Andrews to have John and his brother, Mark, build their altar! It will be beautiful as it will be done by willing hands and loving hearts.

John is definitely a TIGGER!! He has always been a gentleman, a clown, a concerned person for others, a prince among men. His absolute FAITH is a beacon in the Oklahoma dust! You are greatly loved, John! Prayers are answered in mysterious ways!
Love to you and Nila and your family!
Joan
