The pain block procedure went well this morning. I just woke up from a long nap and had lunch, so we're waiting to see what effect that has. I wasn't aware of it until afterward, but today's work was temporary for the next 12 hours. The doctor needed to be sure of which nerve bundles he should cauterize for good before going farther. I have virtually no pain coming from the pancreas tumor and it is MUCH diminished coming from the liver. I think he has his road map for the procedure that will be done this coming Monday afternoon. The only complication/side effect I've experienced is extreme weakness. It is difficult to walk very far right now, so we're keeping an eye on that. We want to thank everyone for their prayers and expressions of concern and thank God for so many caring people. God Bless You and we'll update you as needed. John

Sounds like the doctor has the right roads maped out to give you some comfort, Now if that helps yoube able to eat fairly well you can get back your strength. I hope you know my thoughts and prayers are with you every moment.

So much love to all the Dutchers,
Marcia

Mr. Dutcher,
I had the opportunity to teach VBS @ St. George, Wichita, with your daughter, Jenny. It was fun to help our children grow in their faith, and to get better acquainted with Jenny. She has shared this blog with me to follow your progress. No wonder Jenny is a woman of such great character -- she's had two great teachers!
Your continued faith in God is remarkable; you are fighting the good fight, and God Is With You! Your prayer chain is longer than you could ever imagine! Know that your extended family in Wichita is praying fervently for you and all of your family!
Sincerely,
Rhonda Castrisos
