John had a very restful night last evening. Praise God! The infection is starting to go down. The doctor said in a couple more days he will review whats happening with the gallbladder and may or maynot have to remove it afterall. Time and healing will tell. He is being tapered slowly off the heavy pain meds but is still getting enough to help. And he doesn't have the awful burning as much when he eats. He even had a full 'real food' breakfast and lunch today. He is moving around better and you can tell by his countenance and happy demeanor that things are looking up for a time.
John and I know the reason is because in the words of President Bush's White House Press Secretary, Tony Snow (who recently died of cancer);
"When our faith flags, He throws reminders in our way. We think of the Prayer Warriors in our midst. They change things, and those of us who have been on the receiving end of their petitions and intercessions know it".
God does listen, if it is in His great plan of things. And those Prayer Warriors are you our dear family and friends. Your visitation and comments on this blog has also lifted him up.
If he is dosing when you visit please say his name and tell him hello. He will wake and visit for a short time. This is by his request as he enjoys everyone of you and feels blessed to have so many who love him. Isn't that what this life is all about? Jesus said, "Love one another, as I have love you". (John 15:17)
When he is over tired I will place a no visitors sign on the door and you can call my cell phone as I will probably be somewhere in the hospital. I'm usually never far away. (Deaconess Hospital room#671)

Excellent news. Just know that you and your family are always in our prayers. Stand strong and proud in the light of God and he will deliver you as he deems necessary.

Praise God for the relief! I know 1st hand how hard it is to deal with these "roadblocks" but I firmly believe that all happens for a reason. I have put y'all on every prayer list that I can find, and my network is a large one. You are in my thoughts and prayers every day.
Much, much love to you both,
Stevvi

Yea! I am so happy he can eat. I love to eat so I like for people to enjoy food and get much needed nourishment. I miss you at work, but I am happy you are getting more time with John - of most importance! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers continually. XOXOXOXOXOX

I add my prayers to those of so many who are standing fast in prayer daily for you both. You are dearly loved & cared about by many more than you know! May God guide the hands & minds of the doctors who are treating you and give you extra strength each step of the way.
